Selecting fresh ingredients and carrying out inspections at harvest time and at every stage of the production cycle are just two of the ways in which we strive to guarantee the quality of our products.
Since 2003, Demetra has held UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification, a guarantee not only of the quality of our products but of our whole management system, from production to all aspects of customer relations, not forgetting the safety of all company employees. Our quality management system was approved by DNV, one of the world’s top certification bodies.

 

STRICT CONTROLS AND THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY TO ENSURE SAFETY AND QUALITY

A laboratory performing in-house quality checks, managed by highly qualified staff and a specialized mycologist (an expert on mushrooms): this is our starting-point in ensuring the level of food safety required by current legislation.
The laboratory and the entire Demetra production line are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. In selecting suppliers, our purchasing managers apply a strict system of checks and inspections; all products delivered to our warehouses are carefully monitored.
Quality controls throughout the production process are complemented by an efficient traceability system covering all bases, from individual ingredients to despatch of the finished product to the end user.

At Demetra we are always looking for new ideas and new products to meet all the varied requirements of catering professionals.
Innovation for us is not only a matter of new recipes and keeping up with changes in consumer demand (requests for gluten-free products, or products free of preservatives and/or food colourings, for example). It also comprises new types of packaging, such as flexible pouches, designed to safeguard the organoleptic properties of our products, reduce the environmental impact of discarded containers and take up less storage space.

 

SPECIALISED DISTRIBUTORS AND DIRECT SALES AGENTS ALWAYS ON HAND TO SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS

Our products are distributed by an extensive network of specialised distributors and direct sales agents, who can provide assistance and supply products with short lead times. Our marketing activities are supported by recipe booklets and catalogues, in particular our magazine “La Voce di Demetra”, sent out quarterly to a listing of over 10,000 operators.
Traditional methods are supplemented by new marketing tools, in particular our constantly updated company website, featuring a complete database of all Demetra products, from which you can download technical data sheets and images.
